Styling your Table

The joys of outside dining are now locked in with summer memories and the dining table is back in use.
Whether you have a formal dining table or a more relaxed breakfast bar or island situation dressing the space can be so inviting for guests but also for everyday enjoyment.

This could be with some candles, diffuser scents all brought together round some greenery or a beautiful bunch of flowers to add some colour and greenery to your decor.
Nicely arranged fruit bowls filled with vibrant colours in a decorative bowl can create a stunning display, especially if fifilled with seasonal produce.

The island or peninsula of a kitchen often doubles up as an eating and cooking space so think about the items you use for everyday, oils, vinegars and spices and put them in decorative jars to add to your display.

Even laying out your bottles on a tray creates a sense of intentional display and order to these practical items.

For a more formal dining space, make your life easier by selecting a table which already has some decorative features which require minimal additional dressing.
This Riviera table from Aleal for example has this centrepiece turn table in a stunning contrast black marble which looks fabulous against the grey veneer. If the movable centrepiece is not your thing then the luxurious Sunset range with contrast in-lay makes a style statement itself.

Choose from a variety of finishes from ceramic and marble to simple, classic but elegant wood to be tailored to any elegant home or dining space.

When looking to dress your dining table it is always recommended to take inspiration from the finishes when it comes to deciding your theme or decor.
Whether you have a light polished oak table from Ercol which fits with a minimalist modern scheme, where you could accessorise with a mid-century style vase and some greenery or you have the Cookes Collection Ashton Dining table that is perfect for more industrial, stripped back  vibe, the velvet chairs providing a perfect contrast of colour, texture and comfort against the raw elements of the wood, metal and brickwork.

Styling your dining table can really set the tone for the rest of your living space, as the accessories will define the theme and give a focal point to the room and other existing decor.
