What information we collect?

We collect information about you when you place an order with us, this includes name, address (delivery address, if different), home telephone number, mobile number, email address, payment method. If any Finance package is applied, this will be directly with the finance provider and we will not store any personal details.

We collect information when you register for our Platinum Loyalty card, this will include personal information as above and also your date of birth.

Details will also be saved when you sign up to our marketing preferences, provide customer feedback and participate in any Prize Draw activities.

CCTV is in operation in each of our premises; this is to ensure security of all our sites.

How we use cookies

How do we use your information?

We collect personal information from you to process your order, register you as a Platinum Loyalty card holder and also, with your approval, store your marketing communication preferences – postal/email/sms. If you apply for any Finance Packages, these will be done at point of sale directly with the finance provider, V12.

-          Fulfilling a Contract

By placing an order you are entering into a contract with us and your personal data will be used in order to process your order and fulfil a contractual agreement. This may require sharing your data with a trusted third party to complete this contract with you. An example could be a direct delivery by a manufacturer or the purchase of a warranty with a third party company.

-          Legitimate Interest

Notifying you of your order status including an order confirmation, delivery information and any finance information regarding your order will be communicated to you - providing beneficial information to you.

Providing any customer service requirements in relation to your order, this may include providing your details to trusted third parties for the sole benefit of yourself and the rectification/improvements of the product supplied. An example of this could be providing details to the warranty company or third party repair company to rectify any service issues that may have arisen.

Personal data will be saved in order to respond to a direct enquiry by yourself. This will then be used to inform you of any information you requested and also if we deem any future correspondence will be of interest to you. You can update your marketing communication preferences at any time.

Registering for a Platinum Loyalty Card and registering your marketing communications preferences means your personal data will be saved to enable us to keep you informed of any promotions, product information, latest trends or any other information deemed to be of interest to you. 

After your sale we may ask for some customer feedback to enable us to enhance the service we offer our customers in the future.

 

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

Personal data will only be shared with trusted third parties to either complete the contractual sale or provide a benefit to you as the customer. Examples as mentioned above. Your personal data will never be sold or supplied to any third party that we do not deem as having a benefit to yourself. We work with a number of trusted suppliers, agencies and businesses but will only pass on data in order to provide you with the highest quality of goods and services.

Website data will also be processed by Google Analytics to offer a better and more relevant service to our customers, this will not be analysed using any personal data – no attempt will be made to identify any individual from those visiting our website, when and if they sign up but we won’t be able or try to do it through Google Analytics.

 

How long will the data be stored for?

We will store your personal data for a minimum of 6 years in line with UK Tax law. However, we will continue to hold your data after this date in order to provide you with the highest level of customer service. We offer an extensive guarantee and will always strive to support our customers if any issue should arise. Under legitimate interest your details will be stored for future marketing communications. At any time you can amend your marketing communication preferences. 

 

 

Access to your information?

At any time you can exercise your right to access your data, make any rectifications required and exercise your right to be forgotten.

Legally we have to store your data for six years, after this date you can exercise your right to have your details erased at any time but this will invalidate any outstanding warranty period or future customer service.

At any time you have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications.
