Every family has its quirks, and often, those quirks come out in the little names we give to everyday things. You might technically have a sofa, but what do you actually call it? For some, it’s “the couch.” For others, it’s “Grandpa’s Spot,” “the crash zone,” or even “the comfy thing.” One of our favourite customer stories involves kids who lovingly dubbed theirs “the marshmallow” - because once you sink in, there’s no coming back up!
The Clicker, the Zapper, the Button Stick… or Simply The Power
Let’s talk about the remote control. Sure, that’s its name, but who actually uses it? We’ve heard everything from “the clicker” and “the zapper” to “the button stick.” One hilarious family simply calls it “The Power.” It’s these little household terms that, while seemingly silly, give your home personality - and often, a lot of laughter.

Where the Family Gathers (and the Junk Piles Up)
The dining table might be the “kitchen table” even if it’s nowhere near the kitchen. Or maybe it's “the big table” - especially when there’s a “kids’ table” on the side. And let’s not pretend: we all know that corner - the one that’s become a drop zone for keys, post, random chargers, and the occasional mystery item. We see you, junk corner. Beds: Where Sleep, Stories, and Snacks Collide
