Q - What tension mattress do I need? 

Generally manufacturers offer a soft, medium and firm tension. These can be a personal preference but also dependant on your personal body statistics - a guide to buying a new mattress is available to read here


Q - Will an adjustable bed help my back ache? 

An adjustable bed will help with your mobility, so can definitely be beneficial for some people. An adjustable bed however, will not offer any better support than any other mattress, so it is still important to select the right mattress for your needs. 


Q - What do mattresses sizes mean? 

In the UK mattresses sizes are -

Single Mattress - 90cm x 190cm

Double Mattress - 135cm x 190cm

King Size Mattress - 150cm x 200cm 

Super King Size Mattress - 180cm x 200cm 


Q - What is the difference between pocket spring and memory foam?

Pocket Sprung Mattresses contain individual pocket springs that create a perfectly supportive mattress. They are normally regarded as a firmer mattress but are available in a soft, medium and firm tension to ensure they are suitable for everyone. Memory Foam Mattresses are designed to mould to the shape of your body. They offer extreme comfort and support.


Q - Do you have matching cabinet to different bedframes?

Our extensive range of bedroom furniture ensures you will be able to find your perfect bedframe with matching bedroom cabinet including wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and dressing table and stools.


Q - Can I choose the fabric for the base and headboard?

Our Manufacturers offer a wide variety of swatches to choose from for all bed bases and headboards to ensure you find what you are looking for. 


Q - How often should I change my mattress? 

Guidance from the UK Sleep Council in conjunction with the National Bed Federation recommends you change your mattress every 7 to 8 years.


Q - How much do I need to spend to get a good mattress? 

Our extensive range of mattresses ensures we can offer a quality mattress to suit the needs of our customers across a wide range of budgets. 


Q - I only want to replace my mattress, is this possible? 

Absolutely, you are always best to replace the mattress with the same type of mattress to ensure that the same level of support is achieved. Different mattresses are required for divan bases and slatted bedframes.


Q - I would struggle to turn my bed, what is the best option for me? 

Many Manufacturers now offer non-turn mattresses. Memory Foam mattresses also do not require turning so you will be sure to find the right mattress for you, without the concern of heavy lifting. 


Q - What guarantee will I get with my mattress and bed?

Many manufacturers offer specific manufacturing guarantees for their products. However, for total peace of mind, you can purchase a Staingard Warranty for your new furniture, this will cover for any accidental damages, structural defects or stains. 


Q - Can I buy a mattress protector?
